InfectiousDiseasesofPovertyisanopenaccess,peer-reviewedjournalpublishingtopicareasandmethodsthataddressessentialpublichealthquestionsrelatingtoinfectiousdiseasesofpoverty.Theseincludevariousaspectsofthebiologyofpathogensandvectors,diagnosisanddetection,treatmentandcasemanagement,epidemiologyandmodeling,zoonotichostsandanimalreservoirs,controlstrategiesandimplementation,newtechnologiesandapplication.Transdisciplinaryormultisectoraleffectsonhealthsystems,ecohealth,environmentalmanagement,andinnovativetechnologyarealsoconsidered.InfectiousDiseasesofPovertyaimstoidentifyandassessresearchandinformationgapsthathinderprogresstowardsnewinterventionsforaparticularpublichealthprobleminthedevelopingworld.Moreover,itprovidesaplatformfordiscussionoftheissuesraised,inordertoadvanceresearchandevidencebuildingforimprovedpublichealthinterventionsinpoorsettings.
