Over the past 40 years, scientific research workers of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine have kept their original aspirations, self-reliance with selfless dedication and sincere heart. They have been pursuing excellence and innovation; they have devoted themselves to research and worked hard, and related achievements have won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, the National Highest Science and Technology Award, the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the Science and Technology Award of the China Integrative Medicine Society, etc.; and these demonstrate innovative features in clinical efficacy, play an important role in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, and occupy a prominent position in the field of drug research and development. They have used their numerous scientific research achievements to continuously promote the high-quality development of the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine research, and they have created a monument of new medicine combined with traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
