At the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly on 22 September 2020,President Xi Jinping pledged that China would peak its carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060(hereinafter referred to as"peak carbon emis-sions and carbon neutrality").
