T he Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China sends us a clear-cut message that we should strengthen the security capacity building in important fields to ensure the security of food,energy,and key industrial and supply chains.We should pursue green development,accelerate the transition to a green model and adjust the structures of industry,energy and transportation.Based on China's energy and resource endowment,we should advance initiatives to reach the carbon peak in a well-planned and phased way in line with the principle of building the new before discarding the old.
