Sample selection for models to represent ceramic cores fabricated by stereolithography three-dimensional printing

Ceramic cores with good chemical stability and moderate me-chanical properties near casting temperatures of 1550℃for ex-ample are used for the manufacturing of internal structures of hollow blades,requiring complex structures and high precision[1-3].However,traditional preparation method based on invest-ment casting is tedious,requiring not only long production cy-cles but also high cost[4].In particular,in the preparation of double or multi wall ceramic cores,the molds have to be re-made every time the structure is changed,and some ceramic cores with particularly fine and complex structure cannot be pro-cessed[5,6],thereby limiting their development.Stereolithography three-dimensional printing(SLA-3DP)is an advanced manufac-turing technique that integrates design and manufacturing which generates state-of-the-art features compared to injection molding tools.It can overcome the technical bottleneck of traditional tech-nologies for fabricating porous,grid,and other complex-structured ceramic cores.It is a feasible method for the integrated preparation of ceramic cores for double-walled or more complex-shaped three-layer cold superalloy or single-crystal superalloy hollow turbine blades[7].
