Delivering on the Commitment

In the next few months, Africa's most populous country and also its largest economy Nigeria will get its firstever deep sea port - the Lekki Deep Sea Port. Expected to be fully operational before the end of the year, the port is estimated to generate 170,000 jobs and rake in revenues of about $201 billion to central and state governments through royalties, taxes and duties. Constructed by one of the world's biggest maritime engineering firms China Harbor Engineering Co. (CHE), the sea port would reposition Nigeria as a key maritime hub in the West and Central African regions.
