Big action! India developed more than 500 standards for technical textiles

At the 5th National Conclave on Standards for Technical Textiles in New Delhi, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recently formulated more than 500 standards for Indian technical textiles, and about 40 standards are in the pipeline. "The Bureau of Industry and Safety of the Ministry of Commerce is working out the Standards National Action Plan (SNAP) from 2022 to 2027, and the technical textiles included in the SNAP have become an important theme", said Rajeev Sharma, deputy director general of BIS.
