Chromatin conformation of human oral epithelium can identify orofacial cleft missing functional variants

INTRODUCTION Non-syndromic orofacial clefts (NSOFC), notably cleft lip (CL) and cleft palate (CP), are the most common craniofacial birth defects in humans which affect ~1 in 700 individuals, and represent a substantial personal and societal burden.
