Tailoring the Spatial Distribution and Content of Inorganic Nitrides in Solid-Electrolyte Interphases for the Stable Li Anode in Li-S Batteries

1.Introduction
The mass market requirements for high energy density,low cost,safety,and long-life energy storage devices have stimulated tremendous efforts to develop rechargeable battery technologies.[1-3]The lithium-sulfur(Li-S)battery has been regarded as one of the most promising candidates in view of earth-abundant sulfur that has a significantly high theoretical energy density of 2570 Wh kg-1.[4-6]When using S/car-bon composite cathodes,the specific energy of practical Li-S batteries can be over 500 Wh kg-1.[7]The high energy density of practical Li-S batteries also relies on the use of metallic Li(theoretical specific capacity 3860 mAh g-1)as anodes,which plays an important role in Li-S bat-teries.
