Integrating thin wall into block:A new scanning strategy for laser powder bed fusion of dense tungsten

Due to a combination of outstanding properties including high melting point,high density,low thermal expansion coefficient,low saturated vapor pressure and excellent thermal conductivity,tung-sten(W)parts have been widely used as electrodes,heating el-ements,anti-scatter grids for Computed Tomography(CT)equip-ment,rocket nozzles and divertor materials for nuclear fusion[1].However,in view of the room temperature(RT)brittleness and poor workability,conventional material removal methods have lim-ited flexibility in machining tungsten part with complex shapes and key structural characteristics[2-4].
