China-Africa Trade Rises Despite COVID-19
文献摘要:
Recent figures posted by China's customs administration show that trade between Africa and China grew 16.6 percent year on year in the first half of 2022 to reach $137.4 billion. China's imports from Africa grew by 19.1 percent to $60.6 billion, and exports to Africa grew by 14.7 percent to $76.8 billion. Notably, most of the increase in trade occurred during the first quarter of this year, as lockdowns in China as well as a temporary port closure in Durban, South Africa, due to flooding impacted trade during the second quarter.
