Release of Measures for the Administration of Monitoring Adverse Reactions of Cosmetics

In order to standardize the monitoring of adverse reactions in cosmetics, National Medical Products Administration mapped out the Measures for the Administration of Monitoring Adverse Reactions of Cosmetics in line with Regulations Concerning the Hygiene Supervision over Cosmetics and Measures for the Supervision and Administration of the Production and Operation of Cosmetics. It is now promulgated and it shall take effect as of October 1, 2022. Besides, these measures are applicable to the monitoring, supervision and administration of adverse reactions of cosmetics within the territory of the People's Republic of China. The Measures stipulates the duties and obligations in terms of the departments of supervision, production and sales, including national supervision and inspection bodies and those at provincial, municipal and county level; registrant and recorder of cosmetics; commissioned manufacturers; cosmetics managers; medical organizations; e-commerce platform and national supervision bases of cosmetics.
