Factors That Affect World Economic Landscape

At present,the world is undergoing unprecedented accelerated changes.The international landscape of science and technology,industry,population,energy,and finance is undergoing profound and complex changes.In the world economy,the share of emerging markets and developing countries is on the rise.According to IMF statistics,emerging markets and developing economies accounted for 40 percent of the global gross domestic product(GDP)in 2018.It is expected that by 2035,the combined size of emerging markets and developing economies will surpass developed economies and account for nearly 60 percent of the global economy.At the same time,there is an increasing shift of global economic gravity to Asia.In 2020,there were 16 countries whose GDPs exceeded US$1 trillion.Five of these countries are in Asia,namely,China,Japan,India,South Korea,and Indonesia.The rapid growth of the Chinese economy and its increasing share in the Asian economy are important driving forces behind the rise in the East and the decline in the West.To understand the changes in the world economic layout,it is important to conduct an in-depth analysis of the medium-and long-term factors affecting the world economic pattern.
