CIIS President Talks about Bridging Global Divide at Boao Forum

On April 21, President of China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) Xu Bu attended and addressed the subforum "Bridging the Global Divide" during the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2022 via video link. The subforum hosted keynote speeches by former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda and former Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan, who are Chairman and Vice Chairman of the BFA Advisory Committee respectively.In his speech, Xu called on all major countries to shoulder due responsibilities, abandon power politics and Cold War mentality, and take the lead in safeguarding human health, promoting economic recovery, preserving world peace, and addressing governance challenges. Following the principles of mutual respect, fairness and justice, and win-win cooperation, all countries should be committed to building a community with a shared future for mankind, Xu said.
